I find it hard to believe that Vendome was established as a subsidiary of Coro...however Vendome was the SUPERIOR line of jewelry as you will see as you become familiar with their jewelry. The mark was used as early as 1944 on charm bracelets and faux pearl jewelry, but the Vendome line which began in the 1950's did not become popular until the early 1960's, largely due to beautiful designs introduced by Helen Marion, Vendome's principal designer. Basically, Vendome replaced Corocraft which up to that time marked the higher quality jewelry made by Coro. Vendome jewelry used the best of imported rhinestones and as you can see below in the black set, FACETED CRYSTAL BEADS. The clarity and brilliance of the stones and top quality metalwork combined in artistically expressive designs were the main factors behind Vendome's success. The jewelry is highly collectible (per Fred Rezazadeh of Costume Jewelry, A Practical handbook), and should continue to RISE in prices.

Vendome Blue Aurora Borealis Crystal Necklace and Earrings. c1960s. This a truly awesome set! This design is one that made the Vendome name famous with it's clustered crystals and unusual design. Silvertone findings - filigree caps on each of the single crystals in between the clusters. This set would be listed as Mint condition if it were not for the fact that one of the crystals is missing on one of the earrings - luckily it's not noticeable! Truly a rare and beautiful set. The necklace measures 20" and the earrings are screwback/clips so they are adjustable. The earrings measure 2" long. Excellent condition! Guaranteed to draw attention.

Vendome Goldtone parure consisting of choker, bracelet and pierced post earrings. This is a simply classic set... with a nice weight to it! There are double holed links that are connected. The hang tag is still on the choker and it ends off with a safety catch. Measures 18". The Bracelet also has it's original hang tag and measures 7-1/4". The pierced posts measures 1/2" x 5/16". Beautiful set in excellent condition.

Vintage Vendome Rhinestone Tipped Aurora Borealis Crystal Clipback/Screw Earrings. c 1970s. Beautiful AB Crystals in various shapes & sizes with prong clear rhinestone head pins. In between and at the base are twisted goldfilled beads. Goldtone setting. These measure 1" x 7/8" and are in very good condition.

Vendome AB Finished Crystals with scalloped edges and are pierced at the centers and set with silvertone headpins. Tear shaped faceted AB finished crystals are in between these scalloped crystals. This is an awesome brooch that throws off many colors of pinks, blues and yellows. Excellent condition measuring 1-3/4" in diameter.
