Emmons, no longer in business, was founded by Charles Stuart in Newark, NY. He also founded it's sister company, Sarah Coventry. There is a thorough and interesting discussion of this manufacturer in Lillian Baker's "Fifty Years of Collectible Fashion Jewelry, 1925 - 1975. According to Lillian Baker----the Emmons Co. was Incorporated in Feb. 1949 and then Sarah Coventry came into being 8 months later-It was only sold at home parties---mostly in the 50's and is now collectible and getting scarce. Sarah Coventry had a Lifetime Guarantee...the cards stated "may be sent back for repair to: P.O. Box 7899, Warwick, RI 02887. Please include handling charge of 1.50." I'm not sure if this is still being honored. Sarah Coventry discontinued operations and home parties in 1984. The better sets and pieces are expected to rise in price and every collector should have a few pieces of Sarah Coventry in their collection. |

Sarah Coventry "Natures Choice" Sarah Sheen Gold and Silver Leaf Pin and Earring Set. This set is in the original box and is not unused. Someone attached pads to the clip backs which indicates this. Pin measures 2-3/4" x 2-1/4". Clip back earrings measure 1-1/4" in diameter. The set is in excellent condition.

"Mystic blue" Pin and Clip Back Earrings from 1969. Made with a genuine Swarovski Rivoli Crystal, imported from Austria. Goldtone loops reach up and around to hold a stunning, fire blue opal-like Rivoli stone that is faceted, with a point. 1-5/8" in diameter. The earrings measure 1" in diameter. Excellent condition.

Sarah Cov Silvertone Chain with Ivory, Gray, and Black Pearls measuring 43". The beauty of this is that you can remove 7-1/2" and wear that part as a bracelet! The three shades of Faux Pearls are in excellent condition and measures about 9mm. New condition.

Sarah Cov Goldtone Pin and Earring Set. The pin is a circular frame of intertwined and textured and smooth curves that measures 2-1/4" in diameter. The matching earrings are clips that measure 1" in diameter. New condition.

Sarah Cov Textured Silvertone Choker and Bracelet. Choker measures adjustable to 17" x 3/4" wide. the bracelet has a foldover clasp and measures 7-1/2". Excellent condition.

Sarah Cov Silvertone Openworked Dangle Choker. This is a nice choker that looks stunning on! There are five rows of connected openworked pieces forming an upside down triangle. There are nine silver rectangular dangles. This hangs down about 4" and is adjustable to about 16-1/2". Excellent condition.

Sarah Cov Opalescent Bead Twisted Wire Choker. I've had this one in before...and it's a hit! It's one of my favorite Sarah Coventry designs. Three glass opalescent beads are in between twisted circle wire work. gold tone. Measures 15-3/4, but has a ring that allows for adjusting smaller and closer to the
neckline. Hang tag attached. Excellent condition.

c 1978 Sarah Cov Omega Pendant Necklace. gold tone with a yellow imported Austrian stone in the center - set open backed. The chain is very unlikely original to this, the metal is of an aluminum weight and very light. No clasp and not marked - the chain apparently is not original. The original
would've had a hang tag or mark on the clasp. Chain measures 24". The Cross is 2-1/2 " in diameter. Excellent condition. SEE CLOSEUP

Vintage Sarah Coventry Jade Garden Pin in Original Box. There is a piece of rough jade as the head of one flower and a pearl at the top of the other. Three leaves adorn the side of this rope like circle pin. Never worn. The box is in fair condition and is taped in two places. The pin measures 1-7/8" across x 1-1/2" high. Excellent condition.

Sarah Cov Faux Pearl and AB RS Bar Pin. Set into a light gold colored setting are four faux pearls on either side of double hearts in the center. Each heart has a tiny AB finished RS in it. Measures 2-1/4" x 1/4" and it's in very good condition.
