J.J. is the registered trademark of Jonette Jewelry Co. located in East Providence, RI. The company was founded in 1935 as Providence Jewelry Company by Abraham Lisker and later changed names to Lisker and Lisker Inc. During WWII the firm discontinued production due to the metal shortages that were brought on by the war and government restrictions. Since the 1970's, Gordon Lisker has been manufacturing jewelry though some of the work is farmed out to other companies. I love J.J. Jewelry... they make the cutest novelty pins I've seen. According to Abraham Lisker, the firm moved in this direction because of the popularity of their earlier ballerina pins and mother of pearl figurals. These were usually priced at about a buck! I believe their jewelry is above average in quality and Christmas pins are another of their specialty items. They are most certainly a FUN WEAR!

VINTAGE JJ JEWELRY (ONLY 1 EACH)
Vintage JJ Pewter Half Moon and Stars Magnifying Glass Necklace. Dangling from a 24" chain the magnifying glass measures from tip of handle to end 3". The glass and pewter is 1-7/8" across. One slight scratch on the glass but otherwise in excellent condition.

JJ Pierced Brass EAR Earrings with Rhinestones for Earrings. Quite fun and unusual. These are on a card but it's not a JJ card. Each Ear measures 1" x 5/8" and has a clear rhinestone earring in the lobe. Excellent condition.

Vintage JJ Enameled Duck Pin. I'm not sure of the exact age of this pin but my best guess is 1960's. It's a heavy goldtone metal with blue enamel tail and neck, brown enameled body and a green enameled head with red eyes. It's very dimensional and detailed. The duck measures 1-3/4" x 1-1/4" and is in very good condition.
