Goldfilled jewelry marked Fostner is that of Forstner Chain Corp of Irvington, NJ. in business from about 1922 to the late 1970's; by then Forstner Jewelry Manufacturing Corp.
Jewelry marked FORTUNE, MERRY-GO-ROUND, NUMIUM, RADIO, SNAP-LOCK, SLIDE RING, TRUSTYLE, UNION, BOLITA, DAPPER, DUBL-LOCK, FC.C., FORSTNER were various lines manufactured by them. You will find some of their jewelry below and I've found their items to be of high quality and holds up well over the years. |

Forstner 12ktgf 1940's Pin, Bracelet and Screwback Earrings. Square shaped snake chains with tassels on all three pieces. The bracelet is double strands with a foldover clasp and a single bead and triple chain tassel. This measures 7" x 1/4". The pin is a bar pin with an open circle that has four tassels each with a golden bead at the end. This measures 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" long. The earrings are like the pin - the same circle with three tassels although no beads at the end. They are screwbacks that measure 1-3/4" long x 1/4" wide. Excellent condition to the set. All pieces are marked.

Vintage Handstrung Red Crystal Goldfilled Bead Choker and Bracelet. This is so pretty and well made! Two strands of various sized goldfilled beads are woven with red faceted crystals in between. Lobster claw catch. The choker measures 14" x 7/8" and the bracelet measures 8-1/14 long. Excellent condition. Picture doesn't show off the beauty of this set.

A&Z 12ktgf Praying Hands Charm. Engine turned in the background with a shiny profile of praying hands. The charm measures 3/4" in diameter. Marked on the O ring - A & Z 12tkgf. Very good condition.

Forstner Silver Mesh Belt. This measures about 29" in length and is about 3/4 - 1 " in width. This has great detail. The back looks like mesh and the front is a wonderful pattern as well. This is marked on the clasp Forstner Pat. pending. Forstner produced silver vermeil and gold-filled jewelry, specializing in chains and snake bracelets. This is late 1940s - 1950s. Excellent condition.

Vintage Seville 14KTgf ID Bracelet with safety chain ready for engraving! A Herringbone chain on each side of plain oval where the initials or name would go. It the original box and never worn. This came from an estate of items purchased at fine jewelry stores, mostly 1940's and 50's. Measures 7-1/4" x 5/8" with a foldover clasp and safety chain. Great for a gift! PS, I couldn't find anything on Seville!

1940's 10kt Goldfilled Ameythst Glass Link Bracelet. There are 5 stones that measure 1/2" x 3/8" bezel set with an open back. There is a hallmark which is EB in a diamond - Engel Bros., Inc. New York, NY In business from about 1931 to 1965. They specialized in these bracelets, brooches, buckles, necklaces, etc. The bracelet measures 7-1/4" and has the foldover clasp. The links are 1/4" wide. Beautiful bracelet in excellent condition. The color of the stones was not picked up by the scanner very well.

Vintage Forstner 12kt GF Grey Pearl Screwback Earrings. These are so pretty! One faux? grey pearl sits at the bottom of three curled leaves. The center of the three leaves curls forward. The settings on these are excellent - like new! These measures 1" x 3/4". Excellent condition.

Vintage "New Pierced Look" 12kt Gold Filled Earrings on original card. The card has a hallmark, but I don't know who the designer is. M in a Crown. These came from an estate consisting of 1940's-1950's jewelry. Never worn.

14kt gf Hand Wrought Leaf Pierce Wire Earrings. Beautiful light weight earrings...one leaf with a handcut design on the top depicting veins on the leaf measuring 1-3/4 long (from earwire to end of leaf) x 5/8" wide. Very pretty in excellent condition.

A & Z Hayward Beaded 12kt gf Screwback Earrings. The screwback is marked 12kt gf A & Z and from the screwback hangs one red bead, one black? bead and an AB faceted red crystal. Excellent condition. They hang down about 1".

1950's 12 kt GF Scarab Screwback Earrings marked with the hallmark CC on a hand which is Curtis Creations aka Curtman Co. of Providence, RI. In business since 1936. There are three scarabs in each - one carnelian, one chrysophrase and one lapis. Measures 5/8" in diameter in excellent condition.

10kt GF Vintage young girl's Cross and chain. The chain measures 13-1/4" and the cross measures 5/8" x 1/2". There is a 'dent' on the back side of the cross, this appears to be two pieces put together and hollow inside. Condition is good other than the small dent. Pre-1940's piece.

Vintage Forstner 12ktgf Charm Pin. Two Boys, One Girl. Ready for Engraving! The pin is like a tree branch and the three head charms dangle from it. Measures 2" x 7/8". The scan doesn't show this well and even appears green. It's not. This is in very good condition and is great if you want to show off your children by wearing it on your suit or dress!

1/20 14kt Diamond Cut Horse Head Horseshoe Pin. This is a beauty! the Horse is silver in color and the rest of the pin is gold. You can see the detail of the diamond cut design on the mane the eye and the horseshoe. Measures 1-5/8" x 1/2". Excellent new condition.

A & Z 12kt GF Overlapping Leaf Circle Pin. This is much more beautiful than the scan shows. The edges of each of the leaves is a shiny gold and the leaf itself has a crosshair textured matte finish. The pin measures 1-1/4" in diameter and is in excellent like new condition.

Vintage 12kgf Branch Coral Circle Pin. You'd think this was Victorian, but the clasp indicates it is not - it has a safety catch which dates this after 1920. There is a hallmark with a U and an arrow going through it. Again, I'd think Uncas Manufacturing, but the arrow is going in the opposite direction so I'm not sure this is the maker. This circle pin has an minimal engraved design in various places on the circle. Measures 7/8" in diameter. Very good condition.

10kt GF Cultured Pearl Pin signed L S & Co. which is the mark of Louis Stern Company, Providence, RI. Established in 1871 as chainmakers and silversmiths. No record of business after 1950. Twisted gold filled wire looped around in two layers, with another layer of solid petals and the top layer is even smaller petals with a pronged set cultured pearl. This is a beauty! The item came from an estate of a woman who collected 40's and 50's fine jewelry and never wore it. Not sure if the box is original but it's included.

A&Z 12kt Goldfilled Circle Pin with Rhinestone Flowers. This is marked A&Z 12kt 1/20 GF. The setting has a brushed textured finish. There are two flowers, each with brown marquis shaped rhinestones forming the petals. This is in brand new condition and has not been worn. Measures 1-3/8" in diameter.

On the back of the pin there is a hallmark C.T. and it's stamped goldfilled. Normally, you find it stamped 1/20 12kgf or whatever, but this just says goldfilled. I research the marking and apparently it's Cheever, Tweedy and Company who have been in business since 1877. I'm not sure if they are still in business, as the last known advertisement is from 1977. The style of the pin is definitely 1940's. This pin is a two tone gold, the top of the bow is a yellow gold and the bottom is red gold. There is a topaz colored, unfoiled stone handset in the middle of the bow. It measures 1-3/4" across and 1" high. Excellent condition.
