| The name Coro is a contraction of an earlier trade name COHN & ROSENBERGER and they've been in business since 1902. During the 1930's and the great depression, Coro built a huge plant in Providence, RI and after WWII found itself very profitable and surged ahead of the competition. In the 1940's, the highest price line of jewelry Coro produced was under the name COROCRAFT and they offset that with less expensive jewelry that could be found in 5 and dime stores. Adolph Katz was the master of the movable jewelry that Coro produced. His jewelry moved, it quivered on springs, etc. and it was very well made. Katz also designed crowns with multi-colored rhinestones in honor of the wedding of Princess Elizabeth of England. Katz was also a fine businessman and helped run the Coro factory. |

Seems to me, Coro put out a nice line of sword pins. This particular vintage sword is brass under a goldwash. The handle has a really nice detail (stamped metal) with tiny little stars in between a raised design.Very good condition showing few signs of wear. Measures 4-1/2" across!!! 1" at it's widest point.
PS112 Price: $28.00

PS100 Price: $22.00

A wonderful example of Coro Sterling Craft of the 1940's. This is a sterling pin covered with a red gold finish and it has a branch with two flowers...one with a clear pronged RS in the center and the other has three marquis shaped emerald colored RS's pronged. From the branch hangs a chain with a heart and in the center of the heart is a handset green emerald round RS. The pin measures 2" across and hangs down 2-3/4". I have shown in the larger picture, the wear this pin is showing. It's basically around the leaves on the branch and after 50 some years in age, wear is to be expected. I'd rate this pin good condition.
PS102 Price: $33.00

Measuring only 1-1/2" tall x 1" wide...this is marked Sterling and Coro....and it's a sweet little Deer Pin! Looks to be vintage 50's. Excellent condition.
PS064 Price: $24.00

Lovely Corocraft Sterling Flower pin...with foiled back red rhinestones and clear rhinestones. I noticed the foiling is showing signs of wear...but it doesn't take away the beauty of the pin. It's noticeable when held up to the light...but anyway...it measures 1-1/2" in diameter. It's such a nice pin...if purchased you might want to consider having a few of the stone replaced. See my links for who can do this!
PS065 Price: $42.00
