Contemporary? Orange Molded Plastic Choker and Pierced Post Earrings. The question mark means I'm not sure if this set is contemporary or 1980s. I purchased this with a bunch of 1980's jewelry but I've not seen anything like this before! Mirror like foil backs these yellow/orange colored molded plastic pieces and they are set into a antique finish goldtone setting. Shaped to form a circle around your neckline. Measures about 16" x 3/4". The earrings don't have the same pattern as the choker - the molded pieces on the choker have what look like a basket weave and the earrings have dots like a snake skin. Neat Set! Rope Design around the choker edges and a woven design around the earrings. Earrings measure 1" x 7/8" and they are pierced Posts. The set is in excellent condition.

Contemporary Faux Stone Necklace with brass Medallion. Ok, I know nothing of this piece. I picked it up at auction because it's cool looking. The medallion looks old but it is not. There is a green coloring to it for effect. The stones are plastic yet look like the real thing. However, thank goodness they are not real, this would be way too heavy to wear! There are antique looking bead caps that I believe are brass. This was made to look like an antique. The necklace measures 18" and the connecting chain is another 3-1/4" for adjustable wear. Lobster catch. The medallion measures 1-3/4" in diameter. Interesting piece. Even though this is plastic... it's still a substantial piece and not for the 'dainty' types. Excellent condition.

Signed NATORI, this is a spectacular piece of contemporary jewelry. The scanner could not capture the beauty of this piece! The Faux Pearls are huge (about 20mm!) and there are three strands of these lovely pearls evenly spaced on bright goldtone chains. The clasp is most unusual, interlocking together. The shortest strand shows this measuring about 17" and the other two strands hang down further. The designer is Josie Natori. She is best known for designing clothing. She started making jewelry in 1993. Also, she sold her name to Avon Products for the Natori line of fragrances.
