Chatelettes
Ladies' watch chatelettes, usually taking the fleur de lis form were fashionable for hanging a watch or simply worn as a brooch. Some chatelettes came with an attached swivel hook for holding the watch. The Delineator magazine for September, 1902 makes this comment about these sporty watches: These dainty and refined Belt Watches keep correct time and stand the hard usage incidental to golf and tennis playing, sailing and other outdoor play enjoyed by so many women at this season of the year.
