Florenza is the mark of Dan Kasoff, Inc. New York, NY. Known for decorative desk accessories, necklaces, bracelets, charms, etc. First used the hallmark Feb, 1956. Florenza 1956-1981. Larry Kasoff of Florenza was gravely injured in 1981, thereby necessitating the closure of the firm. Mr. Larry Kasoff, formerly with Florenza wrote: "Our company, FLORENZA [Dan Kasoff Inc.] like our competitor ART [Mode-Art] sold our merchandise through wholesalers only and CAPRI was one of them. Capri did not manufacture and was a separate entity. Both of our companies made confined lines for Capri and other wholesalers. I know this because my father and the owner of Mode-Art, Arthur Pepper, were friendly competitors. I met Mr. Pepper at shows where all of the New York Manufacturers displayed their lines twice yearly at a New York Hotel. In fact, his son had tried to work for us."
