Cecile Schiedlo, of Lake Hopatcong NJ, is an 81 year old woman who makes beautiful handcrafted beaded jewelry from discarded beads, single earrings and anything she sees no longer in use. Most of her items are one of a kind and quite unique in style and of her own design. She also has restrung vintage items in the exact original pattern as she found them. I'm pleased to showcase her exclusive designs and I believe you'll find some wonderful GIFT ideas below. All of her items implement something old and something new...bringing yesterday and today together in harmony.

If you love earth tones, this necklace is for you! Two colors and shapes of Satin finished Druk Beads with amber colored glass spacers enhance the lampworked aventurine art glass beads. Strung on wire for secure wear. There is a toggle clasp in goldtone to finish off this 22" necklace. Perfect gift for that earthy gal! Picture doesn't truly show the beauty of this piece. Trust me, you won't be displeased!

Cele took vintage lucite moonstone beads in aqua oval shapes and small white rounds and created this awesome drop necklace. She cleverly used a vintage Trifari 60's dangle as the ending focal piece. It has three danglling goldtone flowers with tassles. This measures 18" before the three larger lucite moonstone beads and goldtone tassle. These add 5" to the length. 12kt GF safety catch and findings.

Cele took vintage soft blue beads and combined them in a magical way with flat white with blue stone spacers and blue lined clear seed beads to form this beautiful set. The blue glass beads have a pearlized finish to them. The Toggle Clasp and Pierced Lever Back Posts are silvertone. They are not marked so I have to assume they aren't sterling. (Cele didn't tell me). The necklaces measures 21" and the earrings hang down 2" top to bottom.

Cele loves Jade so she couldn't resist putting together this stunning necklace of African Jade, A Grade Button Cultured Fresh Water Pearls and Silver-lined amber seed beads. The seed beads are a larger size which gives a richness to this necklace. Sterling safety catch and findings. The necklace measures 28". Matching lever back pierced ears, each with two button Pearls and a piece of African Jade measuring 1-3/4" top to bottom. The African Jade flat circle beads measure 5/8" in diameter. Stunning set... great gift idea!

Cele took a real victorian butterfly piece that has cut steel attached and added small grey faux pearl beads to show the piece off! Strung on fine wire for secure wear, the piece ends off with a goldfilled spring catch and findings. The butterfly measures 1" x 3/4" and the grey faux pearls are 4 mm and the strand measures 22" in length. Yesterday and today meet with elegance!

Soft Green Glass Handmade Translucent Matte Finished Beads are just a compliment to the Cat's Eye Pale Green Beads! Complimenting both colors are handmade translucent clear green glass beads in various shapes and sizes. There are antiqued goldtone colored beaded spacers breaking up the colors. Toggle goldtone clasp and strung on wire.. Measures 23". The earrings measure 2", are goldtone leverbacks. Truly a lovely set!

Vintage Tan & Brown Spotted Art Glass Beads complimented by champagne/topaz colored faceted crystals. The upper part of the choker has silver lined yellow beads in between each of the smaller spotted beads. Strung on tiger tail with goldtone findings. These beads are so very pretty and quite unique looking!

A Roaring 20's Come Back! The bottom of this gorgeous blue glass necklace is from Czechoslovakia c 1920s. Cele added the top beads to breath new life into the piece. Trying to stay consistent with the design, she used glass spacers in a similar pattern. The clasp is the original. This measures about 18". The findings seem to be brass and the center piece at the bottom is molded cobalt colored blue glass.

Cele's Fuscia Jade and Porcelain Bead Biwa Pearl Necklace. This is an eye catcher! Beautiful Fuscia Jade, Painted Porcelain Beads and Biwa Pearls with a Sterling Silver clasp. Measures 22" long. The porcelain beads measures 1-1/8" x 1/2" long. The Fuscia Jade are 6mm. This is one of Cele's prettiest creations!.

Cele loves Amazonite and she created this beauty just for you! Amazonite gemstones are adorned with Cloisonne Beads and Freshwater Biwa Pearls. She added a sterling silver filigree clasp. This necklace measures 20". The Amazonite stones measure 6mm and the Cloisonne are about 11mm in length. This is not an in your face piece. It's classic in style..

Cele's Old Venetian Foil Beads brought into 2007 with newer lampworked beads, crystals and Czech green beads. This set is awesome! Cele took these old beads and added the new. These old foil beads are RARE..there are 7 of them. The long green swirled with white beads are a beautiful compliment to the green small rounds and the silver lined seed beads. The necklace measure 20-1/2". The earrings are silver leverback with two green rounds and silver lined seed beads with a pronged set faceted crystal on the end and these measure 1-3/4" long. One of my favorites of her work!

Cele's Stunning Coral Colored Mountain Jade and Biwa Pearl Necklace and Earrings. The findings are goldfilled. The necklace measures 30" and the large Mountain Jade Beads are 10mm. She made this longer because that's the style these days. There are 4mm Mountain Jade Beads on each side of the beautiful Biwa pearls. There is a goldfilled lobster catch that finishes the necklace off. The Earrings have leverback findings and measures 2".

Cele's Mint Green Round Beads with Frosted Light Green Beads in between Seed beads. This is so pretty... with the pastel colors complimenting the solid colors of the greens. The necklace measures 39-1/2" The soft mint green rounds measure 8 mm and the frosted glass are 6mm. The earrings are silver lever backs measures 1-3/4" long.

Cele's Stunning Pink Faceted AB Crystal and Button Pearl Necklace with matching Leverback Earrings. The lobster clasp is sterling and the silver spacers are SHIANA Thai Karen .999 fine Silver Hill Tribe handmade. The pearls are cultured button pearls. There is a tear shaped vintage Faux Pearl from the 1950s ending it off. This necklace is so beautiful! It measures 30" before the V and drop. Add an additional 2". The pink crystals are 8mm. The faux pearl drop measures 20mm. The earrings hang from sterling leverbacks and measure 1-3/4" long. Definitely one of her prettiest creations...
