Throughout the 20th Century, the United States has imported jewelry from Austria, as it is a major source of Rhinestones and Crystal beads. Swarovski Corporation is one of our biggest suppliers. The common jewelry you'll find today from Austria consists of Rhinestone jewelry, Austrian Glass beads and cut Crystal jewelry. Enamel work frequently accented a lot of the jewelry and most of this type of jewelry is above average quality made using their top quality rhinestones. Usually marked Made in Austria or just Austria. |

Austria Vintage AB Finished White Plastic Necklace and Clip Back Earrings. Double strands of molded plastic beads in various shapes and sizes with an aurora borealis finish. Push in clasp that has a half of one of the molded floral beads. The longest strand is 23"; the inner strand is about 19" in length. The clip back earrings measure 3/4" in diameter. There is slight wear to the AB finish on one of the earrings but not very noticeable. The set is in very good condition.

Austria - Light Blue Flower Lucite Clip Back Earrings. The original tag is on the back of these earrings, they've never been worn. They are LARGE measuring 2-1/2" in diameter. There is a light blue pearlized cab in the center. The plastic is clear blue with a foil back. There seems to be a drop of plastic on the top of one of the earrings which is probably from when it was made.

Vintage Austrian Red Rhinestone Flower Pin. Painted black over a goldtone setting with red highlights. Prong set Red Rhinestones. The pin measures 2-1/2" x 1-1/4". Excellent condition.

Austrian Rhinestone, Crystal and Faux Pearl Pin c 1970s. This is a gorgeous pin with white enamel on the inside of the two curled leaves. There is a huge lilac colored Rhinestone, prong set and raised in the center. There is a light pink and light blue faceted crystal at each side in addition to Peridot colored rhinestones. 4 Faux Pearls on stems on each of the sides. The pin is goldtone. Measures 3-1/4" long x 1". Excellent condition.

Austrian Crystal Goldtone Pin. This is so sparkly! Tiny prong set clear Austrian Crystals are set into a goldtone setting with one large one in the center. The pin measures 2-1/8" x 1". Excellent condition.

Vintage Austrian Crystal Floral Pin. Sparkling! The lower larger flower has handset Marquis Purple Crystals with 6 Aurora Borealis Crystals raised up on goldtone wire to form the center. The upper flower is fuscia smaller marquis shaped crystals with only 3 AB Crystals in the center. The leaves are shades of green crystals. This is really a beautiful pin! It measures 2-1/2" x 1-5/8". Excellent condition. Marked Austria on back. Goldtone setting.

Austrian Crystal Sterling Silver Pin. This is from my own personal collection - it's a spectacular piece. Foiled Austrian Crystals set into a sterling silver setting which has gold overlay on part of the pin. The setting for the larger stones is open backed. This SPARKLES! Measures 1-1/2" x 1-1/4". Purchased at an estate sale a few years back and is in excellent condition.

Austria Vintage Faux Pink & Lavender Pearl Crystal 3 Strand Necklace. Three colors of faux pearls in odd shapes with some of the pearls having brass filigree bead caps. There are smokey grey AB crystals and small glass seed beads. Some of the faux pearls show wear, therefore, some of the finish has worn off leaving white showing giving them a 'swirl' look in some cases. The triple strand measures 18" from end to end with the strands being graduated in size. Condition is fair to good based only on the faux pearls. Still very wearable or you could use beads for restringing into a different design. c 1950s.

Austria. Double strand molded plastic beads with Aurora Borealis finish. Eye catching! There are two kinds of beads - one looks like carnival glass, the other is more of an amber color with that gorgeous AB finish. There is a push in clasp - with a dog toothed set cab. Graduated lengths. Measures 21" and in excellent condition. Looks like glass, but nice light wear! Perfect for spring and summer!
