A. Micallef and Company, Providence, RI was founded in 1919; though one book indicates they've use the AMCO marking since 1935. The company manufactured gold, gold filled and silver jewelry including rings, cameo brooches, pendants, bracelets and earrings. AMCO jewelry has stunning designs comparable to Van Dell and Krementz and is of high quality, which is why I've dedicated yet another category to this jewelry. I believe they went out of business in the 70's.

1940's AMCO 12kt Goldfilled Striped "Rhinestone" - [Click here to learn more about these stones] Screwback Earrings. These are beautiful and I apologize for the poor scan. There are three prong set "rhinestones" Pink, Blue and Green stripes with a goldfilled leaf covering part of the top of the two. A clear prong set rhinestone is attached to the goldfilled screwback. The back shows the goldfilled cups with the prongs are riveted to the setting. These measure 7/8" x 1/2" wide. Excellent condition.

1940's AMCO 14ktgf Circle Pin & earrings with Half Pearls and Light Blue Rhinestones. There are six half pearls prong set with a center light blue round rhinestone. off to the side are three rectangular light blue rhinestones invisibly set. The screwback earrings each have three of the half pearls and one light blue rhinestone. The pin measures 1-5/8" x 1-1/4". The earrings measure 3/4" x 1/2". The set is in excellent condition.

AMCO 14kt GF Red Garnet Glass Stone Pin and Screwback Earrings. c 1950s. The pins has a fan like design with a flower of prong set marquis shaped garnet colored rhinestones with a center round. Three marquis shaped stones fan off to the side of the setting. The pin measures 1-1/2" in diameter. The earrings are screwbacks measures 7/8" x 1/2". Very good condition.

Vintage AMCO Sterling & Trilliant Cut Pear Shaped Topaz Pendant and Screwback Earrings. I was told these are Topaz stones - Topaz ranges in color from white or clear, to pink, red, yellow and blue. These have the brilliance of diamonds! The setting is just the quality you can expect from this design house. Openworked heart shapes in between the prongs - all sterling. The stones are a nice size - 1/2" x 3/8". The pendant chain measures 15". The earrings 1/2". This set is in NEW condition. 14kt gf Herringbone Aquamarine Necklace and Bracelet signed Danielle. This is either 60's or very early 70's and I believe Danielle was a line put out by AMCO. Herringbone chain with bezel set aquamarine colorine stones open on both sides. Three stones adorn the bracelet which measures 7-1/2" and the choker measures 18" with 4 stones. Excellent condition. Just too hard to describe! There is a flowery motif from which dangles this tear shaped bezel set art glass piece. Thechain has little o rings to each side of the safety catch so that you can wear it in various lengths. Matching screw back earrings each marked. c 1940's early 50's. Excellent condition.
